Kanye West to run for the US President

5th July: US rapper, also sometimes referred to as the famous Kim Kardashian’s husband; Kanye West has made a major announcement that comes to a surprise.

According to BBC News, the famous rapper Kanye West is planning to run for the US Presidential post. Although he says that he’s a fan of Donald Trump, but by standing up as President, he will be one of his rivals.

He recently tweeted on Twitter to confirm the news of him participating in the upcoming elections. “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision, and building our future,” he tweeted. “I am running for president of the United States!”

It is clear that he already has the support of two very popular and very well known in the USA; Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk.

Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, the famous car-brand also replied to Kanye’s tweet confirming that he has his support.

However, he has shared the thought of standing up for president before as well, first in 2015 in the MTV awards where he claimed he would stand up for president in 2020. In November last year, he postponed the date to 2024. Does this put many of his fans in denial of whether this time he is serious or not?

Contrarily, this time not only has he confirmed it but Elon Musk’s tweet has helped make his claim and statement look even more reliable, even though Kanye has yet to register with the Federal Election Commission.

With the election only 4 months away, West still hasn’t confirmed if he’s going to be part of a party or not.

In order to appear on the ballot as an independent candidate, West would have to gather a certain amount of signatures and register in states by a particular deadline.
