Maj Gen Faisal Naseer Appointed NACTA National Coordinator for Three Years

Major General Faisal Naseer has been appointed as the National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) for a period of three years, according to a notification issued by the Government of Pakistan.

The notification, issued by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division, stated that the appointment was made with the approval of the Federal Government under Section 9(1) of the NACTA Act, 2013.

Maj Gen Faisal Naseer has been appointed on a secondment basis on standard terms and conditions, with the appointment taking effect immediately and continuing until further orders.

The notification was issued on September 4, 2026, and copies were circulated to senior officials and relevant federal and provincial authorities, including the President’s Secretariat, Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Division, Interior Division and provincial chief secretaries.
