Maryam Nawaz Urges Respectful Handling of Protesters, Announces Iftar Arrangements Amid Emotional Outpouring

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed police and administrative officials to treat protesters with understanding and dignity, emphasizing respect for their emotions during the holy month of Ramadan. In a statement released today, she announced that iftar arrangements are being made for the demonstrators as a gesture of empathy.

“Every Muslim is grieving and tearful at this moment,” CM Maryam said, referring to widespread sorrow likely linked to regional or international events affecting the Muslim world. “However, maintaining peace and order in our country and cities is our foremost duty. We must fulfill this responsibility.”

She appealed for unity, stating, “In this hour of grief, we are all one.”
