Medical Aid: Umar Sharif departs on Air Ambulance

Medical treatment of the actor and comedian Umar Sharif will begin in the United States (US), as he departs from Pakistan on air ambulance. 

Umar Sharif was airlifted from the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. A bouquet was presented by the airport management and good wishes were expressed for his medical treatment. Special arrangements were made and after being shifted from home to the air ambulance at the Karachi Airport, the doctors of the ambulance examined the comedian one last time before sending him off to the US.

On this occasion, his son Jawad Omar appealed for his father’s recovery. He said:

“Pray, we need prayers.”

Earlier, the doctors had declared Sharif unfit for travel. The family members were informed about the health of the Pakistani star. In a video message, Umar Sharif had in fact appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan for help in his medical assistance, which was taken under consideration and worked upon by the government.

The actor said that the doctor have advised him to go to the United States for treatment. He stated:

“I have always responded to the voice of the Prime Minister in welfare work. I hope that Prime Minister Imran Khan will help me in this difficult time.”

It was said that on the directive of the Prime Minister, the federal government has offered to bear all the expenses of Umar Sharif’s medical treatment abroad.
