Ministers and Advisers should refrain from spreading fear among the people

Lahore: Ministers encourage the nation. Imposing Lockdown again and again is also causing a lot of damage.

According to reports, former senior vice president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and President Punjab Dyes and Chemicals Merchants Association Khawaja Khawar Rashid expressed deep concern over the announcement of expected Lockdown.

In a statement, Khawaja Khawar Rashid said that government ministers and advisers should refrain from spreading fear among the people. He said that corona virus is a reality which will not end soon so the government should adopt positive thinking instead of shutting down business.

He said that after the first complete lockdown in the country, trade and Industry suffered huge losses which is still not recovered. And now the government has announced to close markets and impose Lockdown again which will be a huge loss.

Khawaja Khawar Rashid said that closing the markets at 6 was not a logical decision. Minimum working hours have forced people to shop in panic, resulting in a huge rush in the markets but decision makers are unable to understand the situation.

He said that instead of repeatedly announcing lockdowns and opening of markets for a limited period of time, the government should strictly enforce SOPs and allow markets to open for 24 hours which would greatly improve the situation.
“Corona virus must be controlled, but at the same time, business activities are equally important,” he said.
