April 30, 2021: According to the report of BaaghiTV, PPP snatched the seat of PTI in NA-249 by-election in Karachi constituency. PPP’s Qadir Khan Mandokhel has been declared the winner with 16,156 votes.

The unofficial results of 276 polling stations of NA-249 by-election have been received. Miftah Ismail of PML-N came second with 15,473 votes. Nazir Ahmed of Tehreek-e-Labaik came third with 11,125 votes, Mustafa Kamal of Pak-Sar-Zamin Party came fourth with 9,227 votes, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate came fifth with 8,922 votes and MQM candidate came sixth with 7,511 votes.

On the other hand, all the parties in the election made allegations of rigging and blamed the Election Commission for the delay in the results. We will take action according to the law. If any evidence of fraud is found, strict action will be taken. All decisions will be on merit.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Shahbaz Gil says that the Election Commission has done a great job. After 10 hours, a few thousand votes could not be cast in Karachi. And you and every party are making noise of rigging. No one is happy with the result. Turnout only 9.6%. It is incomprehensible to hold elections in Ramadan and in the dangerous situation of corona.
