New 14-Member Balochistan Cabinet Takes Oath

QUETTA: A new 14-member cabinet has sworn in to form the new Balochistan cabinet during an oath-taking ceremony at the Governor House in Quetta. The oath to the new cabinet members was administered by Balochistan Governor Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha.

According to the details, Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and other senior officials were also present at the swearing-in ceremony. It is to be noted that Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) leader Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, on October 29, 2021, took oath as the new Balochistan chief minister after he received 39 votes in the Balochistan Assembly.

According to sources, the cabinet includes BAP leader Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Sardar Mohammad Saleh Bhootani, Sardar Abdul Rehman Kethran and Nawabzada Tariq Magsi.

Meanwhile, the others Noor Muhammad Damar, Akbar Askani, Sikandar Imrani, Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Zamrak Achakzai and Muhammad Khan Lehri were also sworn into the new cabinet.

Furthermore, Ahsan Shah, Mir Naseebullah Marri, Mubeen Khan Khilji and Mir Asadullah Baloch also took the oath of office as provincial ministers. The portfolios of ministers, advisers and parliamentary secretaries are likely to be handed over today.

Earlier, opposition MPAs of the Balochistan Assembly submitted a no-confidence motion against the former Chief Minister Jam Kamal. Kamal landed in hot waters after 14 lawmakers in the provincial assembly, mostly from his own party and other coalition partners, signed a no-confidence motion against him, which was submitted to the speaker’s office on October 11, 2021.
