PAF K-8 Trainer Aircraft Crashes Near Mianwali During Routine Training; Both Pilots Eject Safely

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) K-8 trainer jet crashed in the Manda Khel / Kamar Mushani area near Mianwali on Wednesday during a routine training flight from PAF Base M.M. Alam.

According to reports, the aircraft experienced a technical malfunction mid-flight. The two pilots onboard successfully ejected and steered the jet away from populated areas before parachuting to safety. No injuries were reported to the crew, and there was no damage to property or loss of life on the ground.

Videos and images from the crash site, showing scattered wreckage in a rural field with recovery efforts underway, have circulated widely on social media.

The aircraft has been identified as a K-8 (Karakorum-8), a Chinese-Pakistani jointly developed basic trainer that forms the backbone of PAF pilot training.

This is the latest in a series of trainer aircraft incidents in the Mianwali region over the years, most of which have occurred during routine training sorties.
