Pakistan Army Shoots Down Indian Quadcopter Along LoC in Battal Sector

Pakistan Army troops stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) shot down an Indian quadcopter after it violated Pakistani airspace in the Battal sector of Rawalakot on March 31, 2026.

According to military sources, the surveillance drone was detected intruding into Pakistani territory and was promptly engaged by ground troops. The quadcopter was brought down within the Battal sector, preventing any further incursion.

Officials described the incident as part of a pattern of aerial provocations along the LoC, where low-cost unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are routinely deployed for intelligence gathering and reconnaissance.

The Pakistan Army stated that troops remain on high alert across the LoC and possess the necessary technical and kinetic capabilities to counter such violations and safeguard the country’s territorial integrity.
