On the eve of the 552nd birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak, for visits of Yatrees to Kartar Pur corridor, both sides are required to process lists of visitors 10 days in advance of their arrival to allow necessary procedural clearances.

Given the Indian decision to open the corridor on very short notice, this could have caused inconvenience to the Yatrees. Sensing this, Pakistan respecting the religious sentiments of Yatrees has decided to relax the mutually laid limit of 10 days advance intimation until 30 November to facilitate visiting Sikh Yatrees on the eve of 552nd Birth anniversary celebrations of Gurunanak.

Pakistan has always taken proactive steps to warmly welcome Yatrees in performing their religious obligations in the most befitting manner. Govt of India is expected to follow the agreed process for visitors from 1 December onwards.
