Pakistan Navy Rescues All 20 Crew Members from Sinking Cargo Ship off Ormara
The Pakistan Navy, in coordination with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), successfully rescued all 20 Pakistani crew members from a sinking cargo vessel in the Arabian Sea east of Ormara during a swift joint rescue operation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre received the distress alert and immediately initiated an emergency response. Pakistan Navy warship PNS Hunain, along with the required air assets, was deployed to the incident site without delay.
ISPR said the coordinated efforts of the Pakistan Navy and PMSA, combined with the professionalism of the rescue teams, enabled the safe evacuation of all 20 crew members from the distressed vessel. The operation was completed in a short time, preventing any loss of life.
The rescued personnel were provided with immediate medical assistance, and their condition is being continuously monitored to address any potential health complications.
The military’s media wing described the operation as a testament to the Pakistan Navy’s and PMSA’s commitment to protecting human lives, maintaining rapid response capabilities, and upholding high professional standards.
