Pakistan, Saudi Arabia prepare approval on climate deal

Lahore, 22nd April: Saudi Arabia has finalized a climate deal with Pakistan.

According to reports, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have prepared an agreement on environmental improvement.

As per reports, Green Pakistan and Green Saudi Arabia agreement has been finalized

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has sent its agreement details to Pakistan, after which the agreement from Saudi Arabia has been sent to the Federal Cabinet for approval.

According to reports, Saudi Ambassador Nawaf Al-Maliki met with the Special Assistant on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam and the Special Assistant Tahir Ashrafi also attended the meeting.

Malik Amin Aslam informed that the agreement will be signed during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the Kingdom, which is expected during this month.

After the agreement of Green Pakistan and Green Saudi Arabia was signed, a message of thanks from Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman was conveyed to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki said, “We are thankful to Pakistan for extending cooperation for the green initiative.”

It is to be noted that two weeks ago Prime Minister Imran Khan had written a letter to the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman (MBS) to appreciate his initiatives of ‘Green Saudi Arabia and ‘Green Middle East’ to protect nature.

Following this, MBS had a telephonic conversation with PM Khan and expressed desire to collaborate with him in Khan’s Billion Tree Tsunami project.
