PDM Protest, JUI-F leader threatens boycott
According to a report by Baaghi TV, the first meeting of the coalition of opposition parties, PDM, will be held today in Gujranwala, Punjab.
JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, with the leadership of the PDM, has finalized the plan. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will arrive in Gujranwala with their convoys. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will arrive at the venue with his political workers from Lala Musa. Nawaz Sharif will also address the meeting.

All the preparations and arrangements for the protest have been completed, but the party workers of PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman have said that the PML-N workers should refrain from dancing or singing, otherwise they will boycott the Gujranwala rally.
A tweet from the account of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Punjab on the social networking site Twitter said, “We strongly appeal to our N-League workers to refrain from dancing during the protest, otherwise Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Punjab will boycott the rally”.

On behalf of PML-N, party anthems, music and dancing were sung in the hall at night, on which JUI-Punjab has threatened PML-N. According to Baaghi TV sources, the JUI has issued a warning to the PML-N as 70 per cent of the participants in today’s rally will be from the JUI. Friday is a madrassa holiday and thousands of madrassa students will attend.

On the other hand, according to sources, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will hold a press conference on Friday, October 16 at 2 pm at Qamar Zaman Qaira’s residence in Lala Musa. After which, he will lead the rally to GT Road, Gujranwala. He will also address the people at Wazirabad.
A 28-point agreement has been reached between the PDM leadership and the district administration. According to the notification, the government has given conditional permission to the PDM to hold a rally at Jinnah Stadium. On the day of the rally, containers will be placed at the entrances of the city for the security of the participants, only pedestrians will be allowed to enter the venue.
