PML-N and JUI-F oppose the election of Yousaf Raza Gillani

Lahore, 31st March: According to sources, on the directive of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N has agreed not to accept Yousuf Raza Gillani as the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.

According to reports of Baaghi TV, JUI-F Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri was met by PDM General Secretary and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi where they decided not to accept PPP’s Yousaf Raza Gillani in the Senate as the Leader of the Opposition.

During the meeting, PML-N’s Shahid Khaqan Abbasi inquired about the health and well being of the PDM Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Both Abbasi and PDM’s Secretary-General Maulana Haideri agreed that the opposition party-alliance, PDM is disappointed with the PPP’s attitude.

It was also agreed that the parties in the PDM would bring in their Leader of the Opposition and decide on future strategies by blocking the summit.

Maulana Hauderi pointed out that the PPP’s decision to seek support from the Balochistan Awami Party’s (BAP) support on the issue of the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate has disappointed everyone in the PDM.
