PMML holds nationwide independence day azadi caravans and gatherings

LAHORE: Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) organized independence day azadi caravans, public gatherings and conferences across the country, including Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Sheikhupura, under the slogan “Azadi ka paigham: La ilaha illallah, Muhammad ur Rasulullah ka nizam.” Central and district leaders of religious and political parties addressed the gatherings. In Friday sermons, religious scholars highlighted the ideology of Pakistan. The nationwide activities were attended by large numbers of people from all walks of life and different schools of thought.
In Lahore, The PMML arranged a torch-bearing rally on Mall Road, attended and addressed by PMML President Khalid Masood Sindhu, General Secretary Professor Saifullah Qasuri, Senior Vice President Professor Hafiz Muhammad Talha Saeed and other leaders.
The speakers said that the enthusiasm and participation of the people had demonstrated that the Pakistani nation remains committed to fulfilling the objectives of Pakistan’s creation. They said hostile conspiracies against the country were failing, and warned that those who undermine a country established in the name of the Kalima would not escape accountability before Allah.
A separate women and children’s Freedom Caravan was organized from Regal Chowk to the Punjab Assembly in Lahore, led by Muslim Women League (MWL) Secretary General Iffat Saeed. Participants waved Pakistani, Saudi and Turkish flags and raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pakistan Armed Forces Zindabad.”
In Islamabad, a large number of women participated in a azadi caravan organized by MWL, carrying national flags. In Peshawar, PMML organized a azadi caravan on the Main GT Road near the historic Bala Hisar Fort. A large national flag was also displayed under the leadership of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Rana Muhammad Ashfaq, Yawar Aftab and Inamullah.
In Quetta, PMML Balochistan organized a rally featuring a one-kilometer-long national flag. In Faisalabad, a azadi caravan was held from GTS Chowk to District Council Chowk, while independence day camps were established across Karachi. The camps featured national songs, face painting for children and documentaries highlighting Pakistan’s history and independence.
Azadi rallies and public programs were also held in Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Sialkot, Swat, Chitral, Haripur, Chakdara, Toba Tek Singh, Sahiwal, Charsadda, Rajanpur, Pakpattan, Jhelum, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan and numerous other cities.
Women also organised azadi rallies in Lodhran, while rallies, seminars and community programs were held in Chiniot, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Jhang, Multan, Sibi, Muzaffargarh, Attock, Talagang, Jamshoro and several other parts of the country.
