29th death anniversary of film actor Lala Sudhir being observed today

The 29th death anniversary of renowned Pakistani film actor, director and producer Sudhir or Lala Sudhir is being observed today.

Sudhir’s real name was Shah Zaman Khan and he was born in 1921 in Lahore.

His hit films were Hachkolay, Dulla Bhatti, Mahi Munda, Yakke wali, Dopatta and Son of Un Daata.

Sudhir received Nigar Awards in 1970, 1974, and 1981 and Best Actor Award for film Lottery as well as Special Award for 30 years of excellence.

He died on this day in 1997 in Lahore.
