Fire Breaks Out on Set of Colors’ ‘Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2’ at Film City, Goregaon

India: A fire broke out around 4:00 PM on Monday on the set of Colors channel’s reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2, built inside Prime Focus Studio at Film City, Goregaon.
The blaze engulfed a temporary structure behind the studio. It damaged electrical wiring, cables, wooden planks, bamboo, plastic materials, AC units, sound systems and other shooting equipment. Mumbai Fire Brigade and emergency teams were mobilised immediately and brought the fire under control by approximately 4:55 PM.
No injuries or casualties were reported. Production teams confirmed that no shooting was underway on the Pati Patni Aur Panga set at the time of the incident. The fire also affected the adjoining area near the MTV Hustle 5 set, where the grand finale was being filmed; artists and crew were evacuated safely.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has demanded an FIR against the channel, producer and production house, citing the absence of adequate fire safety arrangements. The body has also called for the resignation of the Film City Managing Director and a thorough investigation into safety protocols at the complex. AICWA president Suresh Shyamlal Gupta has written to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking a time-bound inquiry.
