An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad on Tuesday granted bail to human rights lawyer Imaan Mazari and her husband, Hadi Ali Chatha, in a case involving alleged road obstruction and a scuffle with police personnel.
ATC Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the case, during which police submitted the case record before the court.
During the proceedings, prosecutor Ali Azad informed the court that the record had been received.
The judge asked the parties whether they wished to make any further submissions. However, he subsequently approved the bail applications, remarking, "Let it be. Bail is granted."
Imaan Mazari is a human rights lawyer who has been pursuing cases involving enforced disappearances in Pakistan.
