Indian, Chinese Troops Face Off Again at Multiple Locations Along Arunachal Pradesh Border

Indian and Chinese troops have once again come face to face at several locations along the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal Pradesh, Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Shatrujeet Kapur has revealed.

Kapur said commandos from the newly raised Shaurya Commando units would be deployed across border battalions to further strengthen the force’s operational capabilities in sensitive border areas.

Addressing a force event in the Indian state of Rajasthan, Kapur highlighted several initiatives aimed at enhancing the ITBP’s preparedness and effectiveness along the disputed frontier. These include the establishment of drone platoons, the introduction of a new “Strike” training course for personnel, and the construction of underground bunkers along the LAC.

The measures are intended to improve surveillance, strengthen personnel training and enhance operational readiness in difficult terrain and sensitive border areas.

Arunachal Pradesh has long been a major flashpoint in the border dispute between India and China, with both countries maintaining competing territorial claims.
