Iran Sets Conditions for Ending War, Seeks Qatar Pakistan Mediation With Trump

Iran has conveyed its conditions for negotiations aimed at ending the ongoing war to the United States through Qatari and Pakistani mediators and is awaiting a response from US President Donald Trump, Iran’s Security Council Secretary Rezaei said Saturday.
“We are in contact with the Qatari mediator, who has conveyed our conditions to Washington in order to stop the war. We are waiting for Trump’s response to them,” Rezaei said.
He said Tehran’s main demands include an end to the war on all fronts, the release of frozen Iranian funds, and the lifting of the naval blockade.
Rezaei added that Iran was continuing consultations with the Qatari and Pakistani mediators as diplomatic efforts to find a way to halt the conflict continued.
