LESCO Announces Mass Power Shutdowns Across Lahore to Upgrade Grid for Winter

The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has launched a major wave of planned power shutdowns across approximately 200 urban and rural subdivisions in Lahore and nearby districts for seasonal maintenance and winter system upgrades.

Residents and businesses will face daily power cuts lasting 5 to 7 hours on average, with certain designated zones experiencing interruptions extending up to 8 hours.

The scheduled shutdowns mainly occur during the daytime, typically between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. LESCO stated that these temporary interruptions are vital for infrastructure up-gradation and grid maintenance to ensure a stable network ahead of the winter season.
