Omar Abdullah Marries Journalist Nidhi Razdan in Private Ceremony

IIO Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has married television journalist Nidhi Razdan in a private ceremony in New Delhi.

The marriage was solemnised on Friday, October 30, 2026, under the Special Marriage Act, with family members from both sides serving as witnesses, according to sources.

On Saturday, the 56-year-old Chief Minister announced the news through a social media post, writing, “A new journey began yesterday...” He also shared photographs of the couple. Nidhi Razdan, 49, responded with the message, “It’s done bro,” alongside additional photographs.

This is the second marriage for both. Omar Abdullah’s previous marriage to Payal Abdullah was dissolved by the Supreme Court in July 2026 following a settlement between the parties.

Wedding celebrations were reportedly held in Srinagar and New Delhi and attended by close family members. Those present included Omar Abdullah’s parents, Farooq Abdullah and Mollie Abdullah, his three sisters, and Nidhi Razdan’s parents, veteran journalist M.K. Razdan and Sarla Razdan.
