PIA’s First Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner Arrives in Pakistan

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has received its first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, marking a significant step towards modernising the national flag carrier’s fleet.

The leased state-of-the-art aircraft arrived at Islamabad International Airport from London operating as flight PK786.

The aircraft is the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to become part of the fleet of any airline in Pakistan.

PIA Chief Executive Officer Air Vice Marshal Aamir Hayat, accompanied by his team, welcomed the first Dreamliner upon its arrival at Islamabad Airport.

The Boeing 787-9 is equipped with modern technology, including an in-flight entertainment system, and features a spacious and comfortable cabin designed to enhance the passenger experience.

The addition of the Dreamliner is part of PIA’s broader strategy to modernise its fleet, improve operational capabilities and strengthen its international network.

Through the introduction of advanced aircraft, the national airline aims to provide passengers with internationally competitive travel facilities and a more comfortable flying experience.
