Pakistan Conducts Fresh Drone Strikes in Afghanistan's Khost

Pakistani unmanned aircraft carried out fresh strikes in Afghanistan’s Khost province on Thursday morning, according to reports by independent Afghan media.

The reports said drones targeted the Surabagh area of Khost at around 10 a.m. local time. The strikes came after a series of overnight attacks in the same region and other areas along the Afghan-Pakistan border.

Unconfirmed reports also indicated drone activity in Kandahar, Helmand and several other Afghan provinces, although details of those incidents remained limited and could not be independently verified.

The latest developments come amid a sharp escalation in tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan’s Taliban authorities. Pakistan has said its recent operations targeted locations linked to alleged drone launches from Afghan territory, while Afghan officials have reported civilian casualties in some strikes and warned of a possible response.
