India: Security concerns in Bollywood have resurfaced following a firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai, with reports suggesting that superstar Salman Khan has also scaled back his activities. Salman will reportedly skip this week’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode of the reality show Bigg Boss 20, with filmmaker Rohit Shetty stepping in to host the programme.

During the October 18 episode of Bigg Boss 20, Salman reportedly told contestants that he would not be available to host the following week’s Weekend Ka Vaar. He also informed them that Rohit Shetty would take over the hosting duties in his absence. Shetty, known for his action films, has previously hosted the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.

The development comes amid heightened security concerns following the reported firing at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu area. According to Indian media reports, the incident took place on the evening of October 18, when Tiger was returning home after playing football.

Following the incident, Mumbai Police reportedly increased security outside Tiger Shroff’s residence and launched an investigation to identify the attackers and establish the motive behind the shooting.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s security has also come under renewed scrutiny. Reports have suggested that security arrangements around his residence at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai were being reviewed following the incident involving Tiger Shroff.

Some reports have further speculated that Salman Khan could have been the intended target. However, there has been no definitive confirmation establishing that the shooting was connected to Salman or that the attackers had intended to target him.

Salman Khan has faced security concerns and reported threats in the past. The latest incident has once again drawn attention to the safety of high-profile Bollywood personalities and the security measures adopted to protect them.

For Bigg Boss 20 viewers, Rohit Shetty’s appearance as host will be the major change in this week’s episode.
