Sialkot Airport Denies Misleading Reports Qatar Airways Flight Landed in Pakistan, Not India

Sialkot International Airport on Monday issued an official clarification denying false and misleading reports circulating about a Qatar Airways flight.

According to the airport spokesperson, the Qatar Airways flight arriving from Doha landed at Sialkot International Airport on 27 September and departed again for Doha strictly according to its scheduled timings.

The spokesperson stated that a technical fault and incorrect GPS data on the private flight-tracking software FlightRadar24 had shown the aircraft in the wrong location. The flight from Qatar to Sialkot landed at Sialkot International Airport in Pakistan and not in Jammu, India.

The claim can be verified through the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority’s radar system, the spokesperson added.
