Air India A350 En Route to London Returns to Delhi After Technical Snag

A London-bound Air India Airbus A350-900 flight was forced to make a precautionary return to Delhi on Thursday after the crew reported a suspected technical issue, including excessive noise, while the aircraft was airborne for nearly seven hours.

Flight AI111, operated by the Airbus A350-900 registered VT-JRF, departed from Indira Gandhi International Airport around 5:43 AM local time. The aircraft, carrying over 300 passengers, turned back while flying over Saudi Arabian airspace and landed safely back in Delhi around 12:52 PM. All passengers and crew remained safe with no injuries reported.

Passengers onboard reported hearing unusual noises and vibrations during the flight, prompting the crew to initiate the return as a safety precaution. Sources indicated the issue involved excessive noise experienced by the flight crew, similar to symptoms noted in a prior incident.
