All Schools, Colleges in IIOJK to Remain Closed on Monday Amid Prevailing Situation

IIOJK Education Minister Sakina Itoo has announced that all schools and colleges across the Kashmir division will remain closed tomorrow, Monday, March 2, 2026.
The decision comes as a precautionary measure in view of the current circumstances in parts of the Valley, with authorities prioritizing the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and staff.
Recent official updates had confirmed the resumption of classes following the winter break: higher secondary classes (9th to 12th) reopened on February 23, while pre-primary to Class 8 resumed on March 1. Today’s directive overrides regular academic activities for March 2 specifically in Indian-administered Kashmir.
