Death anniversary of Quraish Pur being observed today

The 12th death anniversary of renowned television compere and scholar Quraish Pur is being observed on Tuesday.
Quraish Pur hosted the famous TV program ‘Kasauti’, along with Obaidullah Baig in the 1970s. He also hosted other quiz shows including ‘Lafz ki Talaash’, ‘Sheeshay Ka Ghar’, ‘Zauq-e-Aagahi’ and UN Quiz.
Quraish Pur was renowned for his extraordinary knowledge of history, literature, geography and the sciences.
He died on this day in 2013 in Karachi after a protracted illness.
