Delhi-Srinagar Vistara flight gets bomb threat call, 177 passengers evacuated

A Delhi-Sringar Vistara flight with 177 passengers onboard received a bomb threat mid-air, prompting immediate action by airport authorities at Srinagar International Airport, officials said on Friday.
The Vistara flight – UK611 – landed safely in Srinagar and all the passengers and the crew were evacuated.
The incident happened when Air Traffic Control (ATC) Srinagar received a “threatening call”, sparking a swift and coordinated response from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
An airport official confirmed that the threat was deemed non-credible and normal operations have resumed.
As security checks were underway, Srinagar Airport closed a runway, prompting all other airlines to issue advisories to their passengers.
