Emirates Suspends All Flights To and From Dubai Until Further Notice

Emirates, the flagship carrier of the UAE and one of the world’s largest international airlines, has announced the suspension of all flights to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) until further notice, citing ongoing multiple regional airspace closures in the Middle East.

The airline’s official travel updates page states clearly: “All flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice. Please do not go to the airport. Emirates will share updates when available.”

The decision follows a series of extensions to earlier suspensions, initially tied to escalating geopolitical tensions involving U.S., Israeli, and Iranian military actions that triggered widespread airspace restrictions across Iran, Iraq, Israel, and parts of the Gulf region. Previous advisories had extended scheduled flight halts through 23:59 UAE time on March 7, but the latest guidance has shifted to an indefinite hold.

Emirates emphasized passenger safety as its top priority and urged travelers not to head to the airport unless directly contacted with a confirmed operating flight. City check-in points across Dubai remain temporarily closed. The airline is operating only very limited services—primarily for repatriation, cargo, or essential needs—under strict approvals, with priority given to pre-booked passengers on those select flights.

Affected passengers with bookings between late February and March 31 can rebook on alternative flights (for travel by April 30) or request refunds.

Emirates thanked customers for their patience and understanding as it coordinates with authorities to resume normal operations as soon as conditions allow.
