Government, PPP Leaders Agree to Recommend Wednesday for Federal Budget Announcement

Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar along with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb held a meeting with senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party as part of routine pre-budget consultations ahead of the Federal Budget.

During the meeting, it was unanimously agreed to recommend to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif that the Budget for next fiscal year be announced on Wednesday.

The discussions focused on current expenditure and development spending priorities, including Public Sector Development Programme as well as broader economic priorities including public welfare measures, development initiatives, and inclusive growth for the next fiscal year.
