Imran Khan Was Not Shifted to Shifa International; Medical Examination Conducted at PIMS: Federal Government

The federal government has clarified that former Prime Minister and PTI founder Imran Khan was not shifted to Shifa International Hospital for a medical examination. Instead, doctors from Shifa International were called to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where Imran Khan was examined.

According to the government, doctors from Shifa International Hospital were also present during the medical examination. Imran Khan was taken to PIMS in view of the security situation created by PTI workers along the route to Shifa Hospital and outside the hospital.

The federal government said Imran Khan was found to be in good health following the medical examination.

The government further stated that medical facilities have previously been provided to Imran Khan whenever required and that all necessary medical treatment and facilities will continue to be provided to him whenever a medical need arises.
