India-Iran Diplomatic Call: Jaishankar & Araghchi Discuss Protests, Tensions & Evacuation of Indians

Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar stated that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi called him and held detailed discussions on the rapidly changing situation in Iran and its surrounding regions.
In a post on his social media account, S. Jaishankar said that Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi discussed with him in detail the ongoing protest activities in Iran, the actions of security forces, the increase in regional tensions, and threats of possible US military intervention.
He stated that during the conversation, a plan of action was prepared regarding the safety of Indian citizens—particularly students and pilgrims—and arrangements for their evacuation from Iran.
It is noteworthy that this conversation took place as the protests in Iran have entered their 20th day.
Meanwhile, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has advised all Indian citizens present in Iran to evacuate immediately, while the Indian Embassy in Tehran has urged its citizens to exercise caution, stay away from protest areas, and follow necessary precautions.
