India will host a crucial meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors (NSAs) in New Delhi on June 22–23, marking a major step in preparations for the BRICS Summit scheduled for September 2026.

The meeting will be chaired by India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and is expected to focus on a range of strategic, security and geopolitical issues affecting member states.

Participation has been confirmed by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu, and Deputy Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Nezami Pour.

National Security Advisors or senior representatives from other BRICS member countries, including Brazil, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, are also expected to attend.

Officials said discussions are likely to cover counterterrorism cooperation, cybersecurity, regional conflicts, energy security, global supply chain resilience and other emerging strategic challenges.

The meeting is expected to help shape the agenda and policy priorities for the BRICS Leaders’ Summit later this year, as member states seek to strengthen coordination on political, economic and security issues amid a rapidly evolving global landscape.
