Pakistan Expands US Lobbying with $1.2 Million Deal to Boost Influence in Washington
The Embassy of Pakistan has signed a two-year lobbying contract worth $1.2 million with Ervin Graves Strategy Group LLC, a Washington-based firm led by former Republican Congressman Tom Graves.
The agreement, effective May 1, 2026, provides for a monthly retainer of $50,000. It was executed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, and the firm’s CEO, Tom Graves. This deal expands a prior shorter-term engagement with the same firm.
Under the contract, Ervin Graves Strategy Group will lobby US policymakers, members of Congress, government agencies including the State and Defense Departments, media outlets, and think tanks. Key focus areas include defence and security cooperation, promotion of trade and investment especially in critical minerals, counterterrorism messaging, legislative monitoring, and improving Pakistan’s overall image as a stable regional partner.
The firm will also help organize high-level meetings, policy roundtables, and facilitate congressional visits to Pakistan.
This latest agreement underscores Pakistan’s continued efforts to strengthen its strategic standing and relationships in Washington amid regional challenges and evolving global priorities. Pakistan has a longstanding practice of engaging lobbying firms in the US capital, often increasing such activities during periods of heightened diplomatic or security needs.
