Pakistan Invites Pilgrims for Hazrat Amir Khusro Urs in New Delhi

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has invited applications from Pakistani pilgrims wishing to attend the annual Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Amir Khusro (RA) in New Delhi, India.
According to the ministry, interested pilgrims can submit applications on the prescribed Ziarat form available on its website by September 25. Completed applications are to be submitted to the Section Officer (Ziarat) at the ministry’s office in Islamabad.
In case the number of applicants exceeds the allocated quota, a ballot will be conducted on October 23 at the ministry’s committee room in Kohsar Block, Islamabad.
The Urs is tentatively scheduled to be held from March 22 to 29, 2027, in New Delhi. The final dates will be confirmed later by the Pakistan High Commission in India.
Last year, 178 Pakistani pilgrims attended the Urs. Religious pilgrimages between Pakistan and India continue under the 1974 bilateral protocol despite strained relations between the two countries.
