Summer Holidays End: Educational Institutions Across Punjab Reopen Today

Educational institutions across Punjab, including all public and private schools, have reopened today (Monday, August 24, 2026) following the conclusion of the three-month summer holidays.

The summer break, which began on May 22, officially ended on August 23. Academic activities have now resumed province-wide as per the schedule announced earlier by the Punjab School Education Department.

New school timings are also in effect. Single-shift schools will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and until 12:45 p.m. on Fridays. Double-shift schools will follow separate morning and afternoon schedules. These timings will remain in place until mid-October.

Authorities have directed school administrations to ensure compliance with the new operational hours and related guidelines, including health and safety measures.
