Trainee Woman Pilot Injured in Cessna 152 Crash-Landing in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh

India: A trainee female pilot sustained injuries after a Chetak Aviation Cessna 152 trainer aircraft crash-landed in an agricultural field in Kasganj district on Monday afternoon.

The aircraft, belonging to the Aligarh-based Chetak Aviation Academy, was on a solo training flight from Aligarh when it made an emergency or forced landing. According to initial reports, the 27-year-old pilot lost altitude and control, leading to the crash-landing. The aircraft suffered substantial damage, while the pilot was injured and has been taken to a hospital for treatment. Her condition is reported as stable.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has launched a formal investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause. Aviation experts are examining factors such as possible technical malfunction, weather conditions, or pilot error during the solo flight exercise.

No casualties were reported on the ground, and local authorities assisted in the quick response. This marks another incident involving trainer aircraft in Uttar Pradesh, highlighting ongoing concerns regarding flight training safety in the region.
