Trump Abruptly Ends NBC Interview, Blasts ‘Dishonest Press’

President Donald Trump walked out of a scheduled interview with an NBC reporter on Sunday, cutting the session short after complaining about the weather and accusing the media of dishonesty.
Trump, who appeared visibly frustrated during the outdoor encounter, told the reporter he had endured rainy conditions for over an hour before deciding enough was enough.
“I’ve sat in the rain with you for an Hour! I’ve given you enough time,” Trump said. “You ought to straighten out your press. You know what? A country can never be great with a dishonest press. Let’s GO.”
The former president then ended the interview and departed the location. Video footage circulating online shows Trump standing under light rain as he delivers the remarks before abruptly concluding the discussion.
NBC has not yet issued a public statement on the incident. The network had reportedly arranged the sit-down for a discussion on current political matters, though specific topics were not immediately clear.
This is not the first time Trump has clashed with NBC or other major networks, frequently criticizing what he calls biased coverage from mainstream media outlets. Supporters quickly praised the moment on social media as vintage Trump, while critics described the walkout as another example of the former president avoiding tough questioning.
The exchange comes amid ongoing speculation about Trump’s political future as the 2028 election cycle begins to take shape.
