President approves military awards for 1,989 personnel

President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the conferment of military awards upon one thousand nine hundred and eighty nine personnel of the Pakistan’s Armed Forces and Civil Armed Forces on the occasion of Pakistan Day.

The awards were approved on the recommendation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.

The approved awards include twenty-three Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), one hundred Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), one hundred thirty six Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), eleven Sitara-i-Basalat, four hundred seventy five Tamgha-i-Basalat and one hundred thirty Imtiazi Sanad.

In addition, one hundred seventy five Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) Class-I, three hundred nineteen Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) Class-II and six hundred twenty Tamgha-i-Khidmat (Military) Class-III have also been approved.
