Prime Minister Imran Khan Shows Reality to Afghan President

Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected all allegations leveled against Pakistan by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, wherein Pakistan has been accused of sending fighters to Afghanistan.

Addressing the Central and South Asian Coordination Conference, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has accused Pakistan of sending 10,000 fighters from Pakistan into Afghanistan.

“If there is no dialogue, we will fight the Taliban. This is the last chance for peace,” Ghani added.

Reacting to Ashraf Ghani’s allegations, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan was being accused by Ashraf Ghani and that accusation was completely baseless.

Imran Khan said that blaming Pakistan for the situation in Afghanistan is a great injustice. If any country in the world is making the most efforts for Afghan peace, it is Pakistan, according to the Prime Minister. Pakistan has made the most sacrifices for peace in Afghanistan, he added.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan further said that back when they were asking to talk to the Taliban then nothing occurred, now that the Taliban are close to victory, only then talks are being held.

“When the Taliban see victory in Afghanistan, why would they listen to Pakistan now?” He asked. “Why compromise? The Taliban should have been brought to the negotiating table when there were 1.5 million NATO troops in Afghanistan,”.

Imran Khan said that the Kashmir issue is the biggest challenge for the countries of the region to connect with each other, if Pakistan and India resolve the disputes, then the whole region will undergo a change.
