Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan travels to Karachi on an invite from a delegation of religious scholars.
The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Ali Zaidi, Asad Umar, Governor Imran Ismail, Leader of the Opposition Haleem Adil Sheikh and Sindh leadership. The scholars paid tribute to Prime Minister Khan for the steps taken at the national and international levels for the honor of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), Islamophobia, the end of Prophethood and the unity of the Islamic Ummah.
The delegation further endorsed the Prime Minister’s vision for the state of Madinah and assured full support. Imran Khan made a statement regarding the scholars, saying:
“Religious figures have a special role to play in social reform. They must take up responsibility and tend to it.”
He added, “The government, teachers and scholars must work together to prevent and curb the rise of sexual crimes in society.”
It should also be noted that the Prime Minister has been on the go for these conferences all over the world in different countries. He has managed to shed light on various topics that have proved to be of immense significance.
PM Imran Khan has also brought up the Kashmir Issue at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), yet again. He also talked about the ongoing situation of Afghanistan since the Taliban take over. On updates in Karachi, he inaugurated Karachi Circular Railways and also appreciated the recent China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) development in Sindh on Twitter.
Inclusion of Karachi Comprehensive Coastal Development Zone in CPEC is game changer. Will cleanup our marine habitat for fishermen, develop 20k low income housing units & present opportunities for investors. Will put Khi at par with developed port cities
Well done @MaritimeGovPK
