Prince Rahim Aga Khan V Begins Seven-Day Visit to India

India: Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the 50th hereditary spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, arrived in New Delhi on a seven-day visit to India at the invitation of Indian Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan.

He received an official welcome upon his arrival in the Indian capital. This is Prince Rahim Aga Khan V’s first visit to India since assuming the responsibilities of the Imamat.

During his visit, he is scheduled to meet Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, along with other senior Indian officials and dignitaries.

Prince Rahim Aga Khan V will also travel to Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Hyderabad, where he is expected to review various projects and initiatives of the Aga Khan Development Network.
