Punjab CM launches Pakistan’s first ever govt run dead body transfer service

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched Pakistan’s first ever government run dead body transfer service.
During the launch ceremony, the Chief Minister handed over keys of the vehicles for dead body transfer service for three major cities of Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.
She also interacted with rescue personnel, appreciating their efforts and urging them to serve with compassion and a spirit of public service.
In the first phase of this service, the dead body will be transferred to the home without any compensation from the government hospitals of Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.
The service will be expanded to every Tehsil across Punjab by June.
