According to details shared by the Punjab School Education Department, all private and government educational institutions that were closed earlier this month will be reopened.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Punjab Minister for School Education Murad Rass said, “All private and government schools in Punjab will open on Thursday, September 16, 2021 with an open view. On any given day, only 50% of students will be allowed. Please follow the Covid SOPs issued by the government.”

Schools in Punjab have been closed since September 6 due to an increase in corona virus cases across the province. Besides, schools, colleges and universities remained closed while examinations in universities were also canceled.

The government had earlier announced that schools would be closed until September 11, but later closed until September 16. The provincial education minister urged students to follow standard operating procedures related to the corona virus.
