Lahore — January 19, 2026: National golfer Qasim Ali Khan claimed the Quaid-e-Azam Alfalah Amateur Golf Championship title after a closely fought contest at the Lahore Gymkhana Club, securing victory by a single stroke in the final standings.

Qasim delivered a steady performance across the tournament, finishing with a total score of 220. After leading the field earlier in the competition, he maintained control under pressure during the closing round, showing consistency and composure to hold off a strong challenge from Saad Habib of Multan.

Saad Habib finished just one stroke behind the winner with an aggregate score of 221, registering a series of solid rounds and remaining in contention until the final holes. His performance drew appreciation from officials and spectators alike, marking him as a notable contender on the amateur circuit.

In other categories, Zayd Omer secured second place in the net section, while Hussain Hamid finished third in the gross category. Muhammad Shoaib and Muhamin Maneka also recorded commendable performances during the championship.

The Senior category was led by Taimur Shabbir, followed by Ahmed Zafar Hayat of Gymkhana. In the Boys’ division, Musa Adil and Hamza Yusuf emerged as winners, highlighting emerging talent in the sport. The Ladies’ gross titles were claimed by Najeen Iftikhar and Bushra Fatima.

Tournament officials said the championship once again underlined the depth of amateur golf talent in Pakistan, with competitive performances across all categories.
