Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Deva’ Co-Star Rohullah Mehdi Arrested with 28 Grams of Drugs in Mumbai

India: Maharashtra Police have arrested actor and model Rohullah Mehdi, who appeared alongside Shahid Kapoor in the film Deva, along with one associate in connection with an alleged drug trafficking case.
According to police, the Kashimira Police Crime Branch recovered 28 grams of mephedrone drugs, valued at approximately Rs 5.60 lakh, during the operation. Mehdi has been named the main accused in FIR No. 437/2026 registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police received a tip-off that MD drugs were being sold through social media platforms including Snapchat and WhatsApp. Officers set up a trap using a decoy customer. A man identified as Kasif was allegedly called near Thakur Mall in the Dahisar Check Naka area to deliver the consignment. He was caught during the transaction and, during questioning, named Mehdi.
Acting on the information, a police team arrested Mehdi outside a shooting studio in Malad, where he was working at the time. Mehdi, originally from Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir and residing in Goregaon, Mumbai, was produced before a court and remanded to five days of police custody.
Police are continuing investigations into the alleged drug network and possible links to the film industry. Mehdi has also appeared in several web series in addition to his role in Deva.
