Shehzad Akbar refuses to answer questions of Justice Qazi Faiz Issa
Lahore, 2nd June: Mirza Shahzad Akbar Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability & Interior(Minister of State) has refused to answer questions of Justice Qazi Faiz Issa.
According to a report of Baaghi TV, Shahzad Akbar says that Justice Faiz Issa, who is himself an accused, cannot question him.
He says, “if the court asks me a question, I will answer”. Shehzad Akbar says that Justice Qazi Faiz Issa is accused and he has no right to question me.
According to details, the cases of Justice Qazi Faiz Issa were heard in the Supreme Court and Special Assistant for Accountability Shehzad Akbar was also present in the court.
SC adjourns Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s case till Tuesday
At that time, Shahzad Akbar said that Justice Faiz Issa himself was an accused and could not answer his questions. Nor is it a law for one accused to question another accused.
He further said that, “if the court asks me a question, I will answer. Let me further tell you that the Federal Minister for Law has resigned from his post and he has sent his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan after which he will represent the federation in the Justice Qazi Faiz Issa reference case.”
Earlier, on the issue of Army Chief Extension in 2019, Forogh Naseem had resigned from the ministry and represented the government, but that resignation was only two days after which he took over the ministry again.
But now Forogh Naseem has resigned again after which he will represent the federation in the Justice Qazi Faiz Issa reference case. In this regard, various reports have stated that the reason for the resignation of Forogh Naseem is that the presidential reference filed by the federal Forogh Naseem has been nominated to represent the case.
