Shilpa Shetty files legal case for posting defamatory content online

Lahore, 30th July: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty files a legal case against some publications for posting defamatory content on social media amid her husband’s arrest.

According to reports from News 18, Shilpa Shetty on Friday files a case in Mumbai’s High Court against some publications and social media apps including Facebook and Instagram for publishing defamatory comments against her.

As per reports from the Indian local media outlet Bar and Bench, the Bollywood actor alleged that these platforms are smearing her reputation in order to increase their viewership and sensationalize the news.

Shilpa Shetty broke down after arguing with Raj Kundra during raid

Reportedly, Shilpa Shetty has named 29 media personnel and media houses for false reporting and maligning her image after her husband and Indian businessman Raj Kundra was arrested on July 19.

It is to be noted that Raj Kundra was arrested for allegedly making pornographic movies and publishing them on an app named Hot Shots. Following this, the Mumbai police raided the couple’s Juhu residence on July 23 and questioned the actress for almost six hours.

Raj Kundra Sent to Police Custody in Pornography Case

Officials informed that the actress claims that she has no idea about the content of the Hot Shots app that distributes pornography online.

According to reports from the Indian news agency, a Mumbai court refused to grant bail to Raj Kundra and his associate on Wednesday. Hence, they will remain in judicial custody till August 10.
